Puct flanges are divided into the following six basic types according to the connection mode with the pipe: flat welded flanges, butt welded flanges, socket welded flanges, loose sleeve flanges, threaded flanges and integral flanges.
Flange welding: It is mostly used in the case of relatively mild medium conditions, such as low-pressure non-purified compressed air and low-pressure circulating water. Its advantage is that the price is relatively low.
Butt-welded flange: It is the most commonly used one, which is butt-welded with the pipe. The quality of the welded joint is relatively good, and the neck of the flange uses taper transition, which can withstand more severe conditions.
Socket welding flange: commonly used in pipelines with PN ≤ 10. 0MPa and DN ≤ 40.
Loose flange: It is commonly used when the medium temperature and pressure are not high and the medium is corrosive. When the medium is highly corrosive, the part of the flange contacting the medium (flanging nipple) is made of corrosion-resistant high-grade materials such as stainless steel and other materials, while the outside is clamped by flange rings of low-grade materials such as carbon steel materials to realize sealing.
Integral flange: Flange is often integrated with equipment, pipes, pipe fittings, valves, etc. This type is commonly used in equipment and valves.

Free forging has low productivity and large processing allowance, but the tools are simple and versatile, so it is widely used to forge single-piece and small-batch forgings with relatively simple shapes. Free forging equipment includes air hammer, steam-air hammer and hydraulic press, which are suitable for the production of small, medium and large forgings respectively.
Die forging has high productivity, simple operation and easy realization of mechanization and automation. Die forgings have high dimensional accuracy, small machining allowance and more reasonable fiber structure distribution, which can further improve the service life of parts.
Die forging is all called model forging, and the heated blank is forged in a forging die fixed on the die forging equipment.
On the middle plate, the disk with the inner and outer diameters and thickness of the flange with processing capacity is directly cut out, and then the bolt holes and waterlines are processed. The flange thus produced is called cut flange, and the maximum diameter of such flange is limited to the width of the middle plate.
The process of cutting strips with the middle plate and then rolling them into circles is called rolling, which is mostly used in the production of some large flanges. After successful rolling, welding is carried out, then flattening is carried out, and finally processing of waterline and bolt hole is carried out.
