Application of Automatic Control System in Air Duct Production Line

With the large-scale application of central air-conditioning, the demand for HVAC pipes has also increased significantly. Air duct is a pipe system used for air transportation and distribution, which is widely used in commercial public places such as supermarkets, shopping malls, exhibitions, theaters and so on. The air duct production line is composed of a feeding rack, a leveling and beading machine, a cutting edge and square cutting hydraulic angle shearing machine, a hydraulic shearing machine, and a hydraulic folding machine.


Ⅰ. The process requirements of the automatic PLC control system of the air duct production line


Each duct needs to be bent 3 times, the large square mold is hit 2 times, the small square mold is hit 3 times, and the cutting is 1 time. There are a total of nine actions. And when each action is executed, the servo must be stopped, and after the action is completed, the servo must be automatically started. The distance that the servo drives is different each time. The distance traveled at each step and the action after stopping should be determined according to the size of the air duct of the air duct production line.


According to calculations, the actions of small square die and bending are intersected according to a certain rule, and the intersecting ways of pipes of different sizes are different. For example, when making a relatively small pipe, all three small square molds are finished, and there is no bending action. Some pipes are made with two square molds, one bend underneath, another small square mold, and two more bends.


Ⅱ. The design ideas of the automatic PLC control system of the air duct production line


It takes 9 mechanical actions to make a complete air duct, and the servo will automatically start and stop 8 times accordingly. Each time the running distance is different according to the width and height of the pipes of air duct machines.


However, the number of mechanical actions of the air duct production line is fixed. We can calculate the total distance traveled by the servo and divide it into 8 sections. After calculation, there are 3 distances for the small square mold from the origin. According to the different settings, 3 distances can be calculated by formulas. These 3 distances correspond to the action of the small square mold. In this way, find out the lengths corresponding to these 9 actions, and then determine their corresponding actions.


Ⅲ. The operation effect of the automatic PLC control system of the air duct production line


It can be seen from the operation of the system that the production accuracy and stability of the air duct production line have been significantly improved. In the case of automatic cutting, open any length of auxiliary material, when the set quantity is produced, the air duct machine will automatically stop.
