Ⅰ. How to adjust the current of the plasma cutting machine?


In the process of using CNC plasma cutting machine, it is very important to adjust the current size of the plasma power supply for the machine to affect the cutting quality of the cutting workpiece in the actual cutting process. Different thicknesses have corresponding current adjustments, and only skilled current adjustment operations are mastered. , in order to use the plasma cutting machine correctly to achieve the best cutting effect.

When the plasma CNC cutting machine cuts the workpiece, the adjustment of the cutting current of the plasma power supply is very important. The most important cutting process parameters directly determine the thickness and speed of the cutting, that is, the cutting ability. 1. The increase of the cutting current of the CNC plasma cutting machine, the increase of the plasma arc energy, the improvement of the cutting ability, and the increase of the cutting speed;


2. The cutting current of the CNC plasma cutting machine increases, the diameter of the plasma arc increases, and the arc becomes thicker and the incision becomes wider;


3. The excessive cutting current of the CNC plasma cutting machine increases the thermal load of the nozzle, the nozzle is damaged prematurely, and the cutting quality naturally declines, and even normal cutting cannot be performed. Therefore, before cutting, the cutting current and the corresponding nozzle should be correctly selected according to the thickness of the material.


Ⅱ. Precautions for selection of power supply for plasma cutting machine


1. According to the arc starting method, the plasma power supply has two types: contact arcing and non-contact (button) arcing. For numerical control applications, the non-contact arc-starting plasma cutting machine should be selected. To judge which arcing method the plasma power supply belongs to, just look at whether there is a button on the hand torch. Generally, the current is greater than 100A plasma power supply, all are non-contact arc starting methods.


2. Select the plasma power current according to the thickness of the plate to be cut.


3. According to the quality requirements of the cutting section, select the type and manufacturer of the plasma power supply.


4. The power supply of plasma cutting machine has inverter type and thyristor type, the former is light in weight.


5. Plasma power supply, which can be used for manual cutting or matching with CNC cutting machine. In order to realize the clamping of its cutting torch on the CNC cutting machine, it should be required to be equipped with a CNC straight handle cutting torch when selling.


6. The length of the plasma cable should consider the distance between the slow-moving wire cutting torch and the plasma power supply within the entire width of the cutting process. But the long cable will reduce its arcing piercing and cutting ability.
